How to Jtag Dish model 4000 ?

Hi,

I have a dishnetwork reciever model 4000, how can i get the boxkey or how can i jtag it?

These old dogs are harder to work with.

I have come across several ways to get boxkeys from these models:

1) From the card that was married to the receiver

2)http://www.dssftp.com/filedownload/downloads.php?file=ZmZmY2MxYTM5Nqr6AHdgrvUvvyFWYj8 zZOTL3rxuJrDj4Geid5Ck - from this very site - note, this requires building an eeprom programmer. I am designing this circuit onto a PCB board and will give it a try as I have several of the 4000 and 4500 I want to play with.

3)See the attached file. This requires building a cable and using a few resistors. I have not done this one either. I plan on playing with the 4000/4500 series here soon, I have just finished up EMUing on the 2800 and am finishing up on a DP301-013 and then I will start digging into the old "GrayBoxes".
