Finally finished setting up my 501 and am trying to get CEMU working with it.

When I power on the receiver, it goes directly to the satellite pointing menu, then when I cancel out of that, it askes me if the dish is aligned properly. I select yes, and the receiver says "Downloading vital program information, please do not disturb, etc." The progress line says "Aquiring Satellite" for a few seconds, then the error 349 box pops up and the receiver resets.

The receiver is a remanufactured unit with Firmware P080. Both of the flash chips are the DT versions. I checked 7FFFFFAC and verified it was 0000.

I am also running an oddcircuits AR105C lock, currently set to unlocked.

Any ideas what I need to do?

You have to let it take the updates with the yellow card now, After it is done you can replace the card. 301's ver p058 and newer are doing the same thing now.

out of curiosity... why do you need the original yellow card? Is there something card specific to the firmware? can you get around the problem by simply flashing tsop&eeprom with most current versions?

i dont have a 501 but just interested... thanks

Well, here's the problem... I don't have a yellow card. Is there any way I can download the firmware and install with a JTAG?
