I am trying to convert a Dish 2700 bld config cbsa to bev.

My question is this, are there any bld config that will not "crossover"?

The reason I ask this is I have been trying to get this receiver to update through the stream for 3 days now and nothing.

My procedure is to erase sa5 and hook up to bev stream. I have let it go as long as 12 hours and nothing. I have tried writing a virgin eeprom. I have tried other builds that are cbXX but they make the receiver unusably (is this a word) slow. I cannot find a tsop that is cbsX and listed as a bev tsop, they are all dish. Does this mean that this configuration cannot be converted?

If there is a cbsX out there for BEV could someome please point me in the right direction cause I can't find it.

I erased sa0 on mine and put it back in the stream and it converted in less than 10 minutes. Hope this helps.

I did try sa0 once but I am not absolutely sure it erased properly so I will try again.

Does anyone out there have a 2700 running bev with a build cbsX?

Thanks for the reply

Make sure that you have a backup of the TSOP that you are erasing. If SA0 doesn't force a download then try erasing SA5.

I have full backup no problem and I can write the original image back. I can even erase sa5 point at dish and download dish fw but when I erase and point at bev nothing.

Yes I do have a signal. I am subbed to bev and I use my main dish (84%) for trying to do this conversion.

For some reason the receiver will not take an update from bev.

Flash a virgin eeprom to it along with it's dish firmware, and see if it updates to bev firstly. If that doesn't help, then try loading a bev public tsop dump(change the ird/box key if you wish in flashedit) of the same build config (or match at least the first 2 characters of the build config of your ird) AND a virgin eeprom.
