there is no way of knowing when an ecm will be sent in the stream, one day, bell could decide to send an ecm in the stream for the next month or so...we can never know exactly, there's no "exact science" to this. The only way to fight it is through these forums and also through prayers...

I don't know about if the atmegas gets hits more often than others...but you can think of it this way...atmegas have her for quite a while...more than the magic cards...so bell knowing this....might just hit the atmegas more often than magics because the effect is bigger...but either way, wether you have a magic or atmega...if you have a testing unit....it WILL go down...in some time...there's no guarantee in any of this

I have had my atmega for one year now. I have gone down 4 times, ranging from 2 hours to 2 days. But for the price, I am very happy. But like jennawan said, if you test you will go down. Best to have some sort of a back-up plan.

As for the timing of the hits, I have never been hit during a huge television event. ie Super Bowl. I think that BEV runs a chance of hitting legit customes, even if for only a minute or two, so they seem to steer clear of the large television events. Hope this helps.
