Hoping someone has come across this and can help.

I'm getting an 'error 002' message and unable to get any of the channels on the even transponders. I've connected another unit to the same feed and it works fine so I think i've eliminated lnb, cable, etc. I've run check switch numerous times and still only get 91/odd

I've read other posts about voltage at the lnb needing to switch from ~14 to 18 v when going from even to odd transponders and I have that. , it switches from 13 to 19v.

Another post mentioned the date code on the Conexant chip by the antenna connector, mine doesn't fall in the range of supposed bad chips.

Really reaching, I found the following in another post;

Look at the Conexant CX24108 chip next to the antenna connector.

Near that chip, locate C226, C227 & and a 1k resistor (102 written on it).

You will see that one end of C226 & C227 are connected together.

One side of C227 is connected to the 1k resistor.

The other side of the 1k resistor is connected to C226 and the Conexant CX24108 chip. ** This will be our test point **

1) POWER OFF THE RECEIVER

2) Using a digital multi-meter.
Put the black lead of the multi-meter to ground (ex: metal case of the 501 / 5100).
Put the red lead on our test point (on the side of C226 that is connected to 1K resistor and the cx24108 chip).

The resistance value on a good receiver should be around 5 meg ohms.

The resistance value of the defective receiver was only few kilo ohms.
I get a read of about 22 meg ohms??

It's 501 running as 5900 on BEV
FW is at E444

Testing with Magic Card/Camless Rom 10

(It was running getting both even and odd transponders initially on a Rom 10 card and then it started having this problem, Magic Card didn't help or make it any worse.)

I've erased SA 55 and SA60 on Flash 2 and let it restream, still no joy!

Any channels on the odd transponders come thru fine, guide is all there, just keep getting the 002 error.

I guess what I'm looking for is any suggestions? Do I reflash back to virgin?, repair ??, use it as an expensive door stop that gets some channels?

Thanks for any help
