6000 wants to take upgrade. What is it ?

My 6000 is asking to take an update. I am loosing channels. Anyone know what the update could be ?

No....this is just a rumor I've heard, but some people are talking about Charlie not allowing blue cards to work with the 6000 anymore. This better not be true. Dont allow it yet unless you arent at current firmware (7.84), there is a sticky around here somewhere. What are you at? Please keep us updated on this.

Software version says 777PCNDD-N. It said last night that there was a software update available but I said no to take the update and it hasn't come back since.

take it current should be P7.84 or you will be losing channels.
go to the screen that asks for you updated without permission screen and tell it yes.
cut ird off and leave sat feed in, depending on what brand and build config either the amber light or the blue light will blink, again depending on model. it may blink real fast or slow either way just let it be untill there is no blinking for at least 60 seconds.
when you cut it back on after that press sys info and check, then go back and tell it to ask permission so it wont sneak up on you later.
