About every three hours I loose the signal and the IRD resets itself. Takes about 1 minute. What would cause this? I have a BEV 3100 and a rom 10 card that is converted to Charlie. I have signal strength of 90. Have checked all connections and swithc I have tried different scripts and different blockers and still get the nag and a reset. I have a friend that is also getting the same nag and reset. Is this a Isolated thing or is it happening to anyone else? Any ideas to solve this problem appreciated.

Moisture or the beginning of corrosion on the wire may be suspect. Make sure you are using water tight connectors or add some silicone around the connectors.

Check all of the wire ends and switches for green corrosion. If you have some then try to clean it off or replace the wires / switches.

It could actually be a number of things ... but this would be a starting point for you!

are you running tsop lock? sounds like the lock is resetting after being hit due to bad cam id

I hope that you don't have the receiver in an enclosed area like a cabinet , heat will do that too ...

Thanks for the advise, I have checked the connections. heat is not a problem the ird is out in the open and it also happens at night when it is cool. the TSOP lock is possible will try changing the cam. the puzzle is that it is happening to a friends reciever with his rom 10 card but not with his rom 3....... I have cleaned the card tried different scripts and blockers........still happens
