I bought a 7100 off ebay that won't get sat signal. I know there is signal because I plugged the same cable into another receiver. Is there anywhere to send the old dishplayers for repair or anywhere to buy spare parts?

They take about 20-30 minutes to get signal. They are not DP compatible, So if you have DP Pro dish it will not work. It may need updating, Check the sticky thread for all you could ever want to know about these units, Good reading and info in that thread..
I have never had as strong of signal on 7200 than I did on other receivers on same feed,
Dont know if the meter is misleading or it they just dont pull as strong of signal. I have had to go thru the download couple of times in a row before one ever took, once it takes the 3 am download comes in ok after that.

I hooked it up to the same cable as another 7100 that gets signal. Something is definently broken with this receiver. I want to try and replace the tuner. Where can I order one from or send it to to be repaired?

measure the voltage
Step by step...If you have a VOM...measure the voltage between the center of the Satellite In coax connector and the outside of it (ground)..it should be around 17Vdc...The best way to get in the center of the coax connector is to use a paper clip with one end staright...If you do not have 17vdc at that location...the go to the connector that comes out of the power supply and connect to the main board...the voltages are written in the MB...check them...if they aren t within range your power supply is bad...If all the voltages do check AOK...Then you need some other help...

the 7200s are stuborn just because another receiver works on the coax does not mean the 7200 will. check and recheck coax connections make sure coax is #6 coax and make sure its not to long.
have you checked your Receiver SW version and WEBTV Client SW Version
Receiver = 1.23, Webtv = 16917
they will not work correctly unless current
also try the "Factory Rest"
If you are having problems with your 7200 and have tried all of the other codes and fixes, here is one more that I found, and it works, but there is a price. You will lose all of your settings and have to reset the IRD back up. This method brings your 7200 back to factory condition.
Unplug your IRD and when you plug it back in, hit the options button on your remote. Then press 65026809. After the light show, start your IRD with the panel button. Next we go to Factory Tests.
From there select E*diagnostics. You will need to reset both NV Rams. After doing that, turn off your IRD with the panel button. Now, once the light show quits again you will need to hit options again.
Press 32768 and again wait for light show to finish. Pull out your card, then put it back in. When the light is done flashing, power up the IRD again. Now you should be starting off just like as if the IRD had just came out of the box.
Simply follow the directions from there. This is great for reviving 7200s that have been in the stream for awhile and gets rid of junk they have collected

receiver software comes from Sat so does Webtv if its current the next update will come via Sat
Updating Receiver Software for the DISH Player
Verify you have "Good Signal Strength" on four consecutive transponders from the DISH pointing Screen, to view the DISH pointing screen please follow the steps below:
Press the Home button on your WebTV/DISH Network remote.
Highlight Settings from the available options, and then press the "GO" button on your WebTV/DISH Network remote.
Highlight Hooking up from the available options, and then press the "GO" button on your WebTV/DISH Network remote.
Highlight DISH pointing up from the available options, and then press the "GO" button on your WebTV/DISH Network remote.
If you have verified that you have good signal then power the receiver off using the WebTV/DISH Network remote for approximately 15 minutes to take the update.

Can I do that with just 119 or 110 or do I need both?
