Receiver information

I have tried to perform the vid mod on the 301-013 receiver
The first one seems to work but will only receive a few PPV's at first, now it will receive no PPV's. The second receiver has lost it's power during the vid mod.

The question - what received should I get that will work with the magic card alone with no receiver modifications??

My brain is getting sore trying to figure all this stuff out.

301-013 DAHC build or earlier, Or receiver Number R00-5199-9999-xx or lower. No vid mod needed. 301-010 or 005 no mods ever were needed.
