View Full Version : model's 4700 and 2700??

I have a model 4700 and a model 2700 that i can't seem to program......i have tried with and atmega and rom2 but all i seem to get off these is charley channels in the 100's till i get to cd channels........then i have the cd channels and a few 8000 and 9000 channels???????...........what am i doing wrong??

if i put the same cards in a model 3500 or 4000 and change the box keys of course...........i can pick up everything??..........please help the 4000 has gotten ecm'd and the 3500 is a loaner, i need to get that back to my friend before i fry it

have you tried to jtag and wipe the sa5 for the 2700 and sa30 for the 4700 in the tsop and let them update.

or jumper sb39 and sb40 for a few seconds on both.
to fix the 4000 momentarily jumper 1 and 16 on the pads surrounding the tsop (junkyard fix), since 4000 has no jtag port, you should wire a switch preferably a momentary between 1 and 16

I will try that with the 2700............seems like the 4700 just needed to be in stream........will let you know how i make out

i have tried that with the 4000..........but it does not get anything from the stream
i believe that only works with bev?? and not charley??

Charlie stopped putting some of the updates in the stream so as to render the junkyard fix useless. You can still erase with the junkyard fix, but since it will never update it's firmware again...well, your out of business with that IRD.

Now howabout the 2700 that does not seem to want to update either??.........anyone have suggestions on this??
