how the heck is it doing this?

ok I have a 2700 reciver
I am now running a working rom 2 card in it
I have been for the past 2 day`s trying to program a atmega board just trying to get it to work so I can program it for another reciver
I put in all info
boxkey`s ird #
i generate cam id with scammer
NOw here comes the kicker
When it sits in stream for a few minutes it is actually erasing cam id
turns it back to s000000000
i have erased this thing
I have cussed this thing
I have tried probably 100 different programs
from anglevision and myatmega I have tried them all
thing get preview channel for a few minutes like about 20 to 30 minutes
the rest I get banners at top when I select screen goes blank
then after a little bit even on preview channel says card not inserted correctly and this is when it erases cam id
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no hair left !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i bet it id a 16 mhz, leave the jumper in program mode at program in jeepers with extrernal clock settings

well he sure knew what he was talking about
I reprogrammed the card with jeepers re did all the boxkeys and all left the jumper in program set clock to external after i put it in stream it took all of about 5 minutes to come up and work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this fix worked!!!!!!!!!!
I cant tell you how much I want to thank you
I had even contacted the company I bought this card from they could not tell me right off what was wrong
(should I share this with them)?
then they would ne as smart as we are

thanks, it took me 2 months to piece together information from this site and others to get it working, I beleive the xtal it bad but I can not find a replacement to see if im right

this I assure you and anyone else interested is only way this damn atmega card will half work .
then it will run for about thirty minutes and freeze
I have verified both program and eprom when I load them
then when freezing starts I take out of reciver verify again program verifies eprom says errors on eprom
hmmmmmm dont remember the excat error would this help?
Sheese wish I could Blink like genie and make damn thing work but then I would not care about testing as I could blink any thing I desired LOL

mine is now doing the same thing. Im have been running a softwarelock and think that maybe it is the problem.. On your info screen does your software version end in "F", me does now and Im still trying to to get it to load diffent software. When I get it working ill let you know

I will look next time I program it
been programing it about 4 to 5 times a night with every fix i can download
I think hmmmm software nope not sure I will let you know
