I have a 3100 BEV receiver that a friend converted to Dish (I'd like to know how to do this myself) He also traded me an Atmega with programmer for a DTV dual LNB. I already have a MC, programmer and JTAG from Mili but haven't used it at all. I've been away working and my wife tells me that she is getting "red channels" from 874 - 899 with the Atmega set up, and 3/4 through an HBO 1 show last Sun. a message came up that in essence said "magic card won't allow this purchase" We are'nt running a MC so that was kinda strange. I'm using a BEV 3200 system (skewable pan and got 119 first then 110) Should I learn the MC and use it or stay with the Atmega for now? I've been so busy working out of town to sit down long enough to read all that's needed to know. Thanks for any help.
