FTA receiver question

In using an FTA system to get Charlie, is the guide the same one Charlie uses or is the guide in the firmware of the receiver? Id it is, does anybody have any visual screen shot comparisions of guides in the FTA equipment?

Sorry I can't answer your question Bud, but I haven't recieved my FTA (Fortec) reciever yet. It should be here by the weekend.

Can you tell me something though? When you say you have a Charlie Guide, is it a regular guide? By that I mean can you see what is on later tonight or tomorrow so that you set a timer up or what ever?

I read somewhere that they don't.

I'd appreciate knowing before I set it up ... the wife will kill me if she can't see what is coming up :-)
