Scrambled or bad channel

I have a pansat 2500a with a dish 500 bird with dual lnb , why do i get a lot of channels that say scrambled or bad channel HELP


I get the same thing running the same sat with 91 BEv ...

CAn anyone answer this ... with the 3100 I get everything clear so I know its not a signal issue.

Hi! guys are your dish 500 with the built in switch if so you must bypass internal switch,and bev has changed some tp`s so you will get some channels moved.
Try and get the strongest signal as possible and quality,I was getting that alot my reason was almost a 200 ft run on my cable so I shortened my line and put a line amp in to boost signal,I get it now about 1 an hour or so depending on channel,I get it mostly on 110,119 seems to be ok.
try and rescan sat as well.

Rescan and you should have all. 91 has changed her transponders......nothing wrong with your hardware. :)

I"m a newbie and haven't caught onto all these terms, so rescan means to repoint the dish or fine tune ,thanks for the info

rescan means goto sat menu and pick sat and rescan

I just having the same problem and also it shows a dollar sign ( $ ) on from of the channels.

I went thru rescanning and my distance is not far maybe 60 ft. away.


any suggestions ?

The $ are the channels that you can veiw.. The ones without the $ you should delet..

Hi! Have you tried to do a advanced scan or a network scan.I do to mine once in awhile ,I still get a scrambled or bad channel but no where near as much as I used to I also put a signal line amp to boost my signal.
I have also deleted and rescanned each sat as well...hopefully they will come up with a fix.

I finally found out what it was and it is very simply.

If anyone has the same problem this is what you have to do.

Go to parental control/second pin (us your pw) set keycodefunction to "ON"

You have to go into menu choose parental and use password you should have tod do it twice then you turnkey function from OFF to ON.

that is it. No more bad channels or scrambles.

can anyone help seems like all i can get is bev i can't seem to find dish and how can i tell witch sat bird i am recieving

Hi! to get DN 110w you have to raise your dish elavation about 6 degrees or so and the first channel on 110 w echo 6,8 is History channel,once you find that then just have another dish about 2 degrees higher than 110w to get 119w echo 7.

most of your PPV are on 110w.

Hi! To delete go into menu use right arrow until you see channel edit then click on it there you get a choice to rename ,delete ,move the channels you can delete them one at a time or all channels on the sat then just rescan your sat .

Hi xwolfs7 well I really screwed some thing up now as the parential lock& channel edit I cannot get into as it just scrolls over them any ideas thanks gaoler

Try a sat scan on one of your sats sometimes after you do a sat scan then you can get into parental control or the only other thing is do a factory reset and redo your sats.

If you do a factory re-set ... does it change everything or just delete the channels?

Hi! if you factory reset then you will have to reflash and rescan your sats.

How do you bypass the internal switch and if you do that do you have to run the LNB's seperately and then recombine them. I'm still missing a lot of channels and don't know why. Thanks, Cap

Hi! is your dish a dish pro.I was reading where you change some tp`s from H to V
in order to use the dish 500.
Have you checked which Tp your not getting and adding it manually in edit tp/satellite,try that .

I'm noty sure but what i read said that you would only do that if you are using a dishpro lnb ...... but i gave it a try and no luck ....anything else you can think of ?

hi body i pick up all 110 channels, i got qullity 90%. level 77%. but some time info scrambled or bad channel on screen just a second is gone. it coming all the time. what's worong?

follow this instructions and will work for a 2500a

Start with factory reset (star all over again )
Add all three

!. use updater with the bin 222.api (n)
2. flash 230.ap1
3. flash 10-5-4


Next step

1.gt tools
2. sdx
3. any channel list you like . I used 61,110,119 and nimiq 1.


next step

locate satellite
1. highes on quality
2. if your are using 4x1 disqc go 1thru best reception if no disq should be off
3. if no disqc sw disable
4. receptions should 90-99 all scan
5. it will pick all channels.
6 when completed scanning go to parental control
a. 0000 three time it will go up by it self and you moving down to second pin put 0000
on the botton you will off go there and turn on.

you almost finish by then, under channel delete go there and delete one channel at a time that has no $ simbol you won't be able to see them. Get rid off all channels with NO $ symbol.

Then can what tv. ! and to make it easier for your self if you only have one satellite connected example 110 channel delete all 119, 61 and nimiq 1 and it will easier since you can go crazy with all those channel list .
I did all of this and I haven't have a problem again.

I have the legacy dual lnb's and I read on another site that they definitely won't work although I am getting a lot of the channels. I have ordered the Dish Pro LNBF's as suggested and will let you know if it makes any difference. Cap

There always will be some bad channel and scramble but not many.
Same thing with the ppv .

If you have a lot of those then you should try what I did but you need at least a 95-100 on the quality.

i used a 4x1 disqc switch 110 119 are ok, but 61.5 all the channels info scrambled or bad channel i got all channels on 61.5 list. i setting 61.5

22khz off

TP 12239H 200.000
postitioner Seting Disable
Satellite scan ALL
when i ajust TP only 12239 is hign Quallity.
still 61.5 info scrambled or bad channel on all the channels
i usea Lifetime Ultra i went to some where download bin, it doesn't work, i only can use saler gave me the bin can work, why?
if download 61.5 what's first channel is?

Hi! you may be on the wrong sat or you just have to get your signal up higher

There is some channel list that will pick up certain area that you want.

I have about 4 different channel list but none will pick up miami, they do get jacksonville.

I hope someone has one that has Miami.
