What build and bootloader to use rom 3

I've got this 301-13 single tsop , currently DAPA and showing bootstrap as xxxx what do I need to use rom3 for emu???

DAPA is fine, but you need to vid mod it and zero out 7FFFFFAC.

Thanks Skinerd. Why do you think I got xxxx for bootstrap, when others are getting 16,17,18??? and how do you get to that address? Is it in the flash or eeprom? Sorry for all the ? but I have just got through the 013 jtag debackle read and saved the flash and eeprom, and am a little nervous, with people posting about damaging their irds doing all of this. Any help is appreciated. Skinnerd fan also.

Try a different jkeys version, 301b or 301c should work fine as long as it has a selection for 301 single in it.

I did get the vid ,mod in and it is functioning correctly. the jkeys I used has only 301-3100 in the drop down box. it was in the file section here. can you point me to a how to rewrite that 7fffffac?

You will need the correct jkeys version to do that, then just go to flash programming and in the single address box change 7FC0000 to 7FFFFFAC, click read, it should respond with D500, change that to 0000 and click on write, if you are connected correctly, it should work fine. If it doesn't work, then unplug the receiver jumper the R79 connection to ground , make sure you look at a pic and get it right, plug in the receiver and start over. Look for the 301 vid mod sticky post, it has complete details.

Thanks man, I soldered 18 thru 25 to r79, does it have to be switched on and off??

Jumping R79 to ground will not allow the receiver to boot to the flash, makes it easier to write to the flash.
I switch the vid mod on while R79 is grounded, power the receiver and wait about 10 seconds then start jkeys.......then select the single flash 301 and you should be cool.
