Hey Guys,
I have a Bell 3100 that I converted to a DISH 301.10. Actually had 2 receivers that were exactly the same.
Worked fine until went to install the digilock.
One worked flawlessly. The second one........not so well.
After I installed the lock, now it powers up, but the screen is just black. Nothing comes on it at all.
Took the lock out. Repaired the trace I cut, and then tried various 3100 resurrection guides. They all go according to plan until the end. Still the same issue. Receiver powers up, but still no output to the screen.
So I finally resorted to the Junkyard fix.
Same result. It goes according to plan, then powers up.......but still the same result. No output to the screen.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have the same problem with a 301.010 I purchased a few months back.
A J-tag had been soldered in place by some one at some point in time, but no digital lock had been installed or atempted from what I could see. The IRD is just as you have described, when the aquiring satelite signal screen should be there it is just a black rastor.. I have flashed and reflashed both bins with various bins as well as virginized the eepromm etc. etc. etc., I imagine you have too.
At one point I acidentally flashed a 1FE bin to the 1FC address and had the screen turn orange so I know the video is working. I am thinking there is memory some where that was corrupted or erased when some one attempted to write to the tsops.
So whatever it is it's beyond my understanding, but at any rate your not alone.
This dosn't seem to be a common problem, but have posted about it a number of times but have never received a plausible explanation.
Cheers

Use the 301-010 resurrection guide in the files section, if there is no damage, and if the lock(if install) is hooked up correctly, then you can get it back working.

Hey guys,
Appreciate the feedback.
Yes I have tried the varous Tsops, bins, eeproms etc too to no avail.
Also yes I did the resurrection guide a number of times. Everything goes along just as it says it will until the end. Where my power light comes on and stays on, but nothing else happens.
Hope someone out there has an idea.
Thanks

If anyone has other ideas I'd like to hear them to....the 301 resurrection guide is the best there is for a 301-010, correctly applied it works great.

Yah I tried the resurrection method about 5 times.
Each time I have the same result.
Everything goes according to plan. After i do the 60000 write power goes on and back off etc. But after last step just black screen.

Then possibly the flash files that you are writing are not valid......
If the resurrection won't get it going, then I think you are out of options...
No where have I seen the junkyard fix recommended for a 301, it can cause damage........
