Dishnet 3900 Convert to Bev

Hey could anyone please post a flash with the latest software for a dishnet 3900 converted for Bev..?
I have a old flash clgd-bev tsop for 3900.zip with old software but I'm getting errors...

Bev never had a 3900 hence no direct TSOP for it. Stack two 2700 tsops or look into the files section for dualboot or conversion tsop's for that 3900. It can be done.

Hey Birdie, when you say stack two tsops do you mean program same tsop twice? That sounds a lot easier than the alternative. I got my 2800 converted no problem, but the rest of my "fleet" are all 3900's

Well I have it up & running with a Bev TSOP.
But its running old software & the receiver wont update...
So I'm getting the error"your smart card doesnt have authorization to purchance this program blah blah blah" or whatever it says on some channels...If I wait the error flashes a few times then I can watch that channel..But just receintly we we're on vacation for 2 weeks & when I got back I checked all channels to see whats been happening with the cards & now I get some error on only the hoochy channels saying "cant find sat signal please wait or scroll up or down".....¿?

Couple of reasons why it won't update to current FW...

D/lock is preventing update. Does it have a lock?

The EEPROM is corrupt. Check the system info screen. If there is a 'F' at the end of the FW#, means it's flagged (corrupt). Create a virgin EEPROM with Flashedit. Then reflash the eeprom only.

There are other reasons but we'll start there. Let us know...

Not sure if there's a D/Lock I'm guessing you mean a digital lock..There might be one in the last TSOP I flashed it with tho. clgd-bev tsop for 3900.zip ..Found here http://www.dssftp.com/filedownload/generate_php/echostar_tsop_bank.php . There is no switches that have been soldered in if thats what you mean..
The software Version is E355CLJD-N
Bootstrap 12CBCLJD
It also say's its a 3700C

What is the actual build config of your IRD? To verify, remove cover and check the small square sticker on the motherboard.

3800/3900 for bev is 4 2700 bins back to back. it will not update, cuz it thinks it`s a 2700, and 1 2700 file is too small...
Get a current 2800 CSDJ or similar tsop bin, (e408 or higher) use flashedit to enter your ird# and boxkeys. check fix crc box. DON`T WORRY ABOUT BUILD...CSDA WORKS FINE...Save personal dump to directory C: AS 1.bin Next go to MY COMPUTER, OPEN DIRECTORY C: Right click 1.bin, save file as 2.bin, right click it again save as 3.bin, one more time as 4.bin YOU NOW HAVE 4 IDENTICAL FILES IN C:

NOW go to dos prompt or restart in dos
type this command, space between the word copy and /, and between bin and 5 at the end

copy /b 1.bin+2.bin+3.bin+4.bin 5.bin.

5.bin is the output file write it to your tsop and your done.
For more fun check out the 3900 dual boot file in the files section, you stack 2 bev bins and 2 dish bins, cut one trace, install a switch and you`ve got a bev 2700 and a dish 2700 in one unit !

But we're moving to Texas From BC Canada in 2 weeks & I'll just reflash it to pick up Dish when we get there..lol I thought someone might have had a easy fix..
I'm just getting into the jTag part of testing althogh I've had it for almost 2 years..LOL

doesn`t matter much, cuz the 38-3900 won`t update in the bev stream

I'll Flash it for dish when we get there....Canadian Sat sux....Well I guess the 12/13 channels of Porn is ok..LMAO
But now I cant get them...

I got the latest firmware for a 2700 Bev system & used Flash edit to copy my box keys & other info into it & saved as a new bin...If I just erase the TSOP & rewrite the new one into it wouldnt that in theory fix it untill they send a new update?

similar problem, 3900 to bev 2700, Eeprom flagged with "F", tried several times to create a virgin eeprom and apply using jkeys, but no change in sys info still E451CLGD-F. Any help greatly appreciated


Do you get the error screens as I do..?

Your smart card doesnt have authorization to view or purchase this channel..blah blah If I leave this one the channel will come back

& on Porn channels it says
Sat signal lost .Signal aquisition is in progress..blah blah..These channels never come in..

I'm saving it 4 times through Flashedit Instead of right clicking on file to use the save as option...I dont have it as a option but Im sure it doesnt matter..
I saved it directly to C:/ & am useing command promt with Win XP...cause I cant remember how to start in DOS mode..LOL

OK I got it to write the new file I was saveing it to the wrong location...

So now do I erase the TSOP already on the IRD or just write the new one to it?

Hey if yah need the TSOP I got it working just gimme a holler..I'm runnin the E451 FW
& all errors are gone..Plus the porn channels are back.. W(o)(o)T..lol
