Valenti, you reminded me of a not-real-pleasant episode I had while street racin' my 1969 Chevelle back in 1979. It was pretty radical for the period, had a blower the size of a station wagon sittin' on top of a maxed-out 350. Sounded mean, looked mean, but sounded terrible and looked worse than that one night when it hung an intake valve open and banged the blower. I mean, launched that sucker into orbit, kind of like John Force does on occasion. Man, it just scared the shit outta me. It was a $3000 mistake. But, got 'er fixed, and man, that old dog would run. If that motor had of been in a lightweight car (this one weighed 3800 lbs (don't know how many ki's that is, you Canadians, maybe 1700!?) I could have outrun just about anybody. If I can find some pics of that thing I'll send 'em out... by the way, just got my son testin' cards today. I gave him an old loader I got from now-busted imagelectronics, showed him how to work ExHU and sent him an internet freeware bin until he gets ready to join here. He's watchin' tv and is tickled to death. Shame on me for corruptin' my chillin'..... Chief
Ok Cam , lets get this Canadian American thing Fixed up here ..
1, do we use the metric system , yes and no .. Because most of us were out of school before it changed to metric yes we still think in imperial and have to convert to metric , well at least I do ..
There are only a few things that are in metric and that would be the speed limits and the price of gasoline , sold by the litre and not the gallon ... You guy's are some what using the metric system and don't even realize it , hence the 5.0 liter Mustang !!
When we go to the lumber store we still buy a 2x4 and not a 22 centimeter by 40 centimeter, we still buy a pound of meat and an 8x10 picture is still an 8x10 !!! So it is not that different really ...
They also tell the weather in metric but I live so close to Buffalo it is all in farihieght .. I still use a 1 1/2 hose line at work and our tower truck goes up 200 feet .. Even though on the back of the fire truck it says " Keep Back 150 Meters " I know , confusing !!
So not all that much has changed ...
( except they put alcohol in our beer up here )
Just my 10 cents , 2 cents CDN !!

Sounds like Canada's as goofy as the US. All engines in new cars are listed as liters (litres?) but engine torque specs are all listed as foot-pounds. Lots of cars use metric bolt and nut specs throughout, but use 7/16 or 1/2 inch battery terminal nuts. Hell, who knows. The metric system is easier if that's what you grow up with. A little tough to convert. Gotta go find a freebie bin to send to my boy in Arkansas- like I posted earlier I got him up and runnin' today, sent him a daily douchebag internet bin, it lasted three hours. That's what they're getting over at the other place, only they're payin' a hundred bucks for it. That's bullshit, in large amounts. Back in a bit... Chief

Holy shit 4x4 is right...it is litre....some Canadian I turned out to be. I'm gonna have to walk around with a bag over my head....just like Sylvester the cat's son in that one cartoon where Sylvester couldn't beat the shit out of that giant rat/kangaroo.
Anyhow, I'm gonna go fire up that 3 litre Dodge. Thing puts out 111855.00-watts at 5700RPM and 99 Newton-meters of torque at 4900RPM...and that's on regular gas.......ouuuuuh Baby...

Well I like to build VW's myself. My last one did 11.50 in the 1/4 mile. NOw that's bout as stroked as a 1600 cc gets. Well, it was at the time, my current will be 2500 cc using modified chevy rods. That puppy should get me close to the 11.00 mark in a hurry.
