2800 No LED

Hiya,

Had a working 2800. Buddy used "professional" JTAG to read box keys. Got a Peek error continuously. Then he noticed that the green LED was not coming on. Is this a PSU fault? Any other ideas?

use jkeys 2.01 erase the flash and rewrite your bin, if you have a backup. if not go to files and get a current or virgin tsop with matching build config, use flashedit to enter ird# and boxkeys, fix crc, save as personal dump, save virgin eeprom.
write these to your ird.
if you have trouble skip the step where you unplug and replug.
if you still have probs, try jkeys 1.33 or 1.22 or use a buffered jtag

Thanks for the info. So I am to presume that the green LED on the front is not only a power LED? If my eeprom(TSOP) is corrupted, the green LED will not come on?

Also, when you say eeprom, you mean the TSOP?

Why do I have to use JKeys 2.01, can I not use the latest version(2.9?)?

I do not have the BK etc. of the receiver, this is what my buddy was trying to extract. I guess that I should download a TSOP file for a 2800 receiver?
