new ECM just hit TSOP

My TSOP was just hit with error code 153. I did a quick reset and checkswitch.
I got all channels for about ten minutes and then I got hit again.
The question is : About how long will Charlie keep rolling these ECM's down the stream?

Also, will reprogramming the card help any?

153 is usually a bad cam id. Change your cam id

yep they got my card, but thankfully it wasn't looped, so I figured a TSOP ecm

My emu went out and I rebooted and it's been playing at least a half hour,

What's the deal on my emu? Does this type ECM effect the TSOP in one of those?

Check and see if your getting some number like 00000001 at bottom of the list when you hit the SYS INFO button on the Remote. IF u do than they got both yur card and TSOP. if not than they only hit yur card..

It's more than a cam id issue this time. I spoke too soon. Seems they're hitting everything out there today.

i had a 301.10 and a rom 10 go down did ne1 else have a problem getting into there card using nagra?? i kept getting atr fail and i tried atr resureccion beta and it got my atr than nagra opened it the right way hope this helps some 1 when they get home and find no dish!!!!

well, this ecm will keep coming for a while probably. Obviously you don't have a lock installed. and therefore will be fixing ecm often. you have to jtag it. then you can either reflash the tsop with a good flash of the correct build or do ecm fix from flashedit or erase SA5 and restream it. Without a lock- it is likely to happen again.

Thanks for quick reply. No I don't have a lock installed. Are they hard to put on? Where to get one? This is first time location id got hit, had blocker on but I guess that didn't help. Said to be hitting ppv strings Where can I find "how to" on jtag it and to either reflash the tsop with a good flash of the correct build or do ecm fix from flashedit or erase SA5 and restream it? I take it this type of hit affected the receiver, so in the mean time I just can't program another card without ppv string? I have to fix the receiver first? By fixing the receiver (by reflashing) does that take care of the bad location ID or will the card have to be redone also?

I am gonna attach doc file that has very clear illustration on where to attach each wire (credit goes to phiberoptik). Also attach a very good jtag guide for the x700 IRDs. you can use jkeys to erase the specific sector on the tsop without having to reflash. please save the flash bin and even the eeprom bin. you may need them later.

Hit the "systeminfo" button. I'll bet the location ID is at 00000001.

U have been ECM'd. There is a sticky on how to recover from that, provided u are using a recoverable IRD

If u have a good location then the reason u are not getting all channels must be on the card.

Well, I thought I would add that my 301.10 Rom 2 went down last night as well. I don't use that receiver, so I just noticed it today. I guess it's safe to assume it's either tier related or cam related.

My 508 got a AR105c with a Rom 3 nomore64 and is running smoothly.

Well I think is PPV related I close the range in the PPV's and been up 24 hours. clean card re-apply all patch and blocker and everything is working.
