Mine too just got hit as of 4:10 pm Eastern Time 00000001.

It's a ppv issue, remove the ppv and it receiver should stay up. I got hit twice on a 3700 and second time I removed the ppv's and I'm still up.

its not the ppv

OK, whatever you say, All I know is after I removed my ppv's I have not been hit, over 2 hours now, before I removed the ppv got hit within 30 to 45 mins. Keep them on if you like, just be ready to flash again. Samething with MC, reprogrammed MC without ppv's, still up.

1) open jkeys
2) jkeys will detect your box keys and ird number—if not you have a connection problem, find and fix before continuing
3) click on flash programming, if necessary, remove power, reconect and click on OK in 3 seconds
4) click on the down arrow near FULL, there you will find the sectors or SA, select the one that correspond to your ird's model:
• 2700/2800/3700 = address SA5 (512 k tsop)
• 3800/3900/4700/4900 = address SA30 (2 meg tsop)
• 301.005/010 = address SA3 flash1(2x2 tsops) DO NOT mess with flash2!
• 301.013 = address SA18 flash2(2x2 tsops)
• 301.013 = address SA50 (1x4 tsop) jkeys2.9.9b or later
• 501/508 = address SA54 or SA52 (2x4 tsops) P168 firmware is SA60 in Flash2
...6000 = SA30 in flash 1 (Thanks Evil812)
5) click on ERASE at least 3 times
6) close jkeys, connect the ird to the satellite feed with an empty cam slot and wait 30 minutes, insert testing device

Thanks Tester,
Had down loaded a 301-13 guide some time ago, and the instructions stated to erase "SA49".
I had done that three times without any success.
It's really nice to have people like you around.

i had a 301.010 with digital lock and mc hit, just unplugged receiver for a couple of seconds and ran check switch, been up for over 2 hours now. my 2700 was hit as well, just erased SA5 sector and been up for 2 hours as well. didn't have to do anything to the cards, have everything wide open on both units and been up for several hours now.

My 501 with ROM10 got hit, even though the card has no PPV and the IRD is supposedly protected with an AR105 digital lock.

At the time (about 4pm), I was watching other TV with 301, also with digital lock, and ROM10, exact same image as the card in the 501. Lost picture for a few seconds and then it came back, still working now.

How come my 501 got hit despite the lock?

update: removed ppvs and still up over 4 hours. To test I had a card in another receiver I have ppvs on and as gotten hit within 45 mins every time I reflash 5 times now. The one without ppvs, I removed the ppvs after seconed hit, now, no hit, everything the same but no ppvs. Take it for whatever it worth.

I have a rom10 running in a 301 with a lock and PPV string and it hasn't been hit. Yet can't get my atmega128 to work with PPV string?

I think the ECM comes out twice a day, at differnet times... If it is up for over 24 hrs, then I would be suprised...

Im up still, also forgot to mension that I had to do check switch after my reset. But ever since that first fit, I have been up with both ppv string wide .

Tester's post says that for a 501 we need to erase "address SA54 or SA52 (2x4 tsops) P168 firmware is SA60 in Flash2."

This is unclear to me, do we erase SA52, SA54 or SA60? Or all three, or what?

Thanks much!

2800 series w/ Rom 10

I got hit yesterday. I rewrote the card last night with the porn but no PPV. I am using NOMORE64-7 blocker. I have not been hit yet. Sounds to me like PPV related, but hey I am only guessing.
