I would say that the P3 or the HU card should be around for at least another 2 years , nothing is definate in this game but they can't do a total swap in that short of time , don't loose any sleep over it !!

4x and 001438, my son lives in Little Rock (yeah, I know) and worked for two years at one of his best friend's electronic centers. This cat is one smart dude- his center has a contract with the US government to repair the FLIR units on Apache helicopters. His store repairs IRD's for Wal Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and Lord knows how many others. He may have one of these around somewhere- I'll check. Mama went to a store in Atlanta yesterday and found what I wanted but they got HU cards in em , now I just have to give her my balls so she will pick one up for me ...
If not I am gonna get one of them reworked moded 420s from 001438 ... 4x, you rascal, tell me how to get to your place so I can watch the digs while drinking some Canadian brew. Beats having to haul cars at 10:30 at night. Mark can relate to that. Anyway, your boss found you a system with an HU in it? Guess you're livin' right. Last one of those I found was at Best Buy several months back- they had about 20 factory refurbished setups they were selling for 29.95 apiece. Should have bought 'em all, but at the time I was pretty new at testing and everybody was still using bootloaders and H cards. Live and learn! Their systems now all have P4's- don't know if they're locked receivers or not. 99.95 apiece. 001438, I'll call my boy today and see what he can come up with. Later, Chief

See that's the difference there Chief , here in Canada we got HU's on every street corner but the P4's , like I said , 400 bucks from a dealer !!! That is why I wanted her to pick up an IRD with a P4 ... Oh well , Ill get one sooner or later .. Useles to me right now anyways ...

4x, I've got four of those things laying around- I bs'd Dave into giving me a couple of extras- lightning got one, the dog chewed one, etc. etc....I have a new 99.95 setup in a box, plus the subbed one I use if a bin goes down and the drags happen to be on, or the old lady's watchin' the Soap Network. Anyway, if you want to borrow a P4 sometime, give me a holler- it's yours for the asking. See, us Texas boys are good for somethin.....;)

Hey chief..that's funny...especially the dog one..My buddies got this little shit of a dog (If you gotta bend down to pet it,..it's not a dog in my opinion). He's got an RCA 430 with the CAM card door on the front. He comes home one night and notices that the door on the IRD is GONE. He finds it the next day under a bed that this dumb dog hides stuff under all the time, and it's all chewed to rat-shit. Stupid dog chews everything, curtains, shoes, kitchen cabinet doors etc. About a week later, he comes home and is gonna watch TV when he notices that his HU card is gone. Goes and looks under the bed, and there it is. Luckily, the dog chewed up the right end of the card. Card still works, but that dog is gonna be going to dog heaven one day soon. I know that because about three weeks ago this so called DOG chews the 10 inch drivers out of his "KEF Model 4" speakers. Gonna cost about $1000.00 to fix it. This guy is an RI anyway, so it doesn't really matter, but WhOOOOOO-Weeeeeeee, he sure was pissed!
