301-10 no menu

Testing a 301-10 origninally was a bev 3100 unit powers up goes into aquiring sat. info screen comes up telling me i have boot strap etc. My problem is i cannot get into the menu screen tried 2 remotes no luck I know the remotes are working as they turn it on any ideas would be helpful.
I also have a 3900 no problems accessing the menu there.

Look at the location i.d. at the bottom of the sys info screen...I bet it says 0000001. If so, you've been hit, bro.
