Problem with 301.010

During the recent ECM, i went into jkeys and erased SA3 on FLash 1 and Flash 2.
After that the reciever does not power up.. i get power to it, i can jtag back into it, but i get no power light and nothing on the screen.

I know now that i erased wrong SA, gonna go back and erase SA8 today, but before i do that, should i do/try anything else??

Are you sure on this, cuz thats what I thought too, but lots of ppl been telling me its SA8 on Flash 1

so far i've come across sa8 on flash1( i did this and it worked fine), sa3 on flash one, and also sa15 on flash2. as I indicated I have only used one of these, maybe if everybody can verify what they've used so every body knows what's good...

It appears that sa3 and sa8 both work the same, erasing must trigger a full ird update and that's why it doesn't matter. sa15 on the flash2 is for the 013 model and not for us to worry about.... corection...I just got from a reputable source that the sa15 flash2 will also work fine on the dual tsop .010 models.

I think i f'ed up my reciever pretty bad:) i cant get the power button to light up nor get anything on the screen. going to try the wall2 program with reflashing it with someone elses backed up bin for flash1 and flash2.
i know i have EAEA config, but is there anything else i should know before dl the tsop images of the dssftp site?

Try the ressurrection method with Wall, may bring it back to life..

All of a sudden today, jkeys cant get into my 301.010. About half the time, it will detect the LSI Device, Device ID, and Model #, the other half it gets the wrong Dev ID. But even when it gets the right Device info, all the rest - IRD#, Boxkeys, Build, Software, Bootstrap, ModelID - are all random gibberish. Sometimes it gets a few bytes of the boxkeys, but not always in the right order.

Then, of course, when i try to get into Flash programming to erase SA3, it gives me the old "LSI doesnt work blah blah, going into slow mode", then i cant proceed from there.

Tried rebooting & changing LPT from EPP+ECP to Normal, to no avail.

dammit.

hate to beat a dead horse but if you run a seperate ground from thr IRD case(ground) to your computer case(ground) it will complete the loop and solve your problem.

I still like Erasing the (FULL) Flash 1, Stream it and with-in 2-5 mins Conversion is complete... No mess, No Fuss.

Nope...! Flash 2 is still intact. Works like a charm...! Trust me.. DP 301-reg 010 Receivers...? Do a FULL erase on "FLASH 1" and Stream it...
