Please don't bash me too hard as I have done my reading of many post concerning the password before posting this help..... Need some help. I have recently purchased a 301-013 receiver and have completed the Vid-Mod to the unit. I'm using a magic card and all works excellent except that the receiver is locked as to not receive anything that is R rated. I have read and read until my vision got blurry. I have viewed the memory dump menu to see line 0320, second column only to read 00000000. I have scrolled and scrolled through this screen looking for anything that looked like 3x3x3x3x but it is not to be found. I then did the hard reset using the TV/Video button and still the unit is locked at R rating. By the way, I did try the pass code 0000. Could the password info have been moved to different location.?? or is my received damaged in some area.??

This will reset your IRD back to default values.Your favourite lists will be erased as well as any other user setable option including the automatic acceptance of firmware updates. (Event timers, language, channel display order and all other user settable options may also be reset to default) Usually, this is used to reset lost passwords. You will have to reprogram these settings after the reset.

This sequence works for all current model irds (2700, 3100, 4700, 5100, 5800, 6000, etc)

Press the following keys on your remote
(Menu)
(6)
(3)
Within 4 seconds, press the following sequence
(info)
(Browse / Right Arrow >>> )
(Theme / Left Arrow <<< )

When the Device Status & Memory Dump screen appears press (tv/video) (if that doesn't work, then press the (info) button)
A "non-volatile memory corrupt" message should appear, if it does not, start over you need that message.

Once you get the proper message, unplug your reciever for a 15 seconds then plug it back in. Everything should be reset at this point.

i dont take any credit for this i got it from BirdieMod

Thank you for your very fast reply to my problem.. I'm sorry to say that I have already done the hard reset with the TV/Video button. I received the "non-volatile memory corrupt message on screen. Unpluged the receiver for 30 seconds and pluged it back: still locked....

Now, that sounds like it could and will work. Yes, I just happen to have its twin sitting here. I will, for sure read the eprom and rewrite it to the locked receiver. I will wait until the smoke clears with this recent ECM but will post back with results. This is the forum to belong to. Thank you for all the advice.
