ECM got Softlock on 301.010

oNE OF MY FRIENDS RUNNING A 301.010 that was softlocked back at P214 and I have not touch it since,
He deceides he want to watch a movie so asked me to make new card with ppv's on it.
Well I dropped it off that morning to come home late last night to see the onslaught so I pm'ed him told him this morning to pull his card and put old one back in and I'll be damn it rebooted and he has the basics and movies but no PPV's just as before.
The software on ird is current, Dont know why softlock is still working or why it took the upgrade to P225 or whatever it is and also it is Rom 10 revA23 with Mili PB.

Two other friends (1=2800, 1-4900)having no ppv have reported all is well (so they say) I have not seen them but it was Mili PB and top 180 hbo,ect... no PPV's
3 -6000 up wide open all ppv I know of latest patch and mili PB,
I want to read the cards to see if it took the new Mystery OBtier.

Tempman, I have tried all that you did to your IRDs too..and same results..I was up and running for 301-010 for abt 7 months..But lot of folks had their luck using FlashEdit and write Softlock option, but I couldnt get it working that way too..here is what I am doing...I got ECMed, I erased Flash1 and then put the receiver back to the stream for update...I get software P226 and then save both Flash1 and flash2 bins, opened them with flashedit 2.0, writesoftlock option and write those new bins back to TSOP. When I put the receiver back, I get as you mentioned America's Top 2 !! Guys, any luck with Flash Edit 2.0 for 301-010 (3100) ?? If yes, please write down the detail steps on how to do it , whether to click check CRC or not and all those stuff.

I had the same problem- it seems that with softlock iget ECMed almost emediatly - without it - its stays alive for few hours. May be the new ECM especialy targets the receivers with softlock ? it should be easy - they know where in memory it is so all the do is to test if that location was altered.
