there is a guy that programs sat's where i live and he installs a button on dish network ird's and when they get hit 00000000001 you just push the button and let it set for 30 min's and it reloads can someone tell me if there is a howto to setup this on my boxes he wants 100.00 to do this thanks

Uhhhhh its called the junkyard fix for a reason.....There is a good chance your ird will end up there.

If this can hurt you receiver then doing an erease with a j-tag hurt it also.

sticking wires into electoonic devices can b dangerous when u slip or put the wires in the wrong place and melt the ird.

Like I saids why do you think its called the JUNKYARD fix? Cuz you go to the junkyard to get the fix? Cuz the guy that runs the junkyard knows how to do it? NO its because your ird can end up there. Do what you want but jtagging with a good buffered jtag is safer.

and instead of telling you what he's really doing he's trying to make it sound like something miraculous, when all hes doing is intalling a tsop lock with a button switch. The price should be about $50 if the lock comes with the package. He's not even breaking the law. Tsop locks are not illegal. They don't help you illegally decode sat signal. .....it's a grey area, but hey, that's the way the law works.
