Got BEV and DISH...and I have to say the only thing I really dont like about BEV is no ESPN, E! or locals obviously. Oh well, more porn, a couple different PPV's, and better HDTV channels.

I wouldnt say absolutely nothing if you have hdtv...all network channels are in hdtv and some ppv's.....plus there are 2 comedy centrals. But I agree, Id rather have DISH if I had to choose.

Yep, it's true, NFL Sunday ticket on Bev. Reprogramming a 2700 now and reaiming Dave dish to 91 degrees. I'm doing it mostly because I'm tired of resetting my dish receivers every hour. ...and I'd like to check out the porn!

That's good news but what about NFl Ticket for Dish , why are they not carrying it , it seams like awin win situation for both dish and NFL , Is it because DTV Has NFl ticket ( Do they have exclusive Rights to air it only if so how long before dish gets it , I realize we can pretty much get most ofthe games with all the locals you can get with dih but u can't get certain local channels cause of spotbeam or something like that , So does any body know if dish will or will not definetly carry it this year

I'm not 100% on this but if I remember correctly, NFL films would only contract to one bidder, and DTV outbid DishNet. I think last year NFL signed a 3 year exclusive contract with DTV.

I ended up reprogramming a 301.10 into a 3100 instead of using the 2700. It was easy as pie. Just erased SA3 on tsop 1 and let it update. (same as ECM repair, but streamed to different bird after erasure) I used the 301.10 because it would tell me what bird I was hitting even if it was the wrong one. That way I could reaim my Dave dish before I erased SA3, and would take update from 91 bird instead of Charlie birds. Then ran switch check. That's all there was to it. Now I have at least one TV with both Charlie and BEV. If one goes down, now I just switch to the other provider.

That's probably just an excuse to get you to upgrade your card. If rumor is correct, we'll see a rom10x fix before the end of the year anyway. I bet NFL sunday ticket can be received with a regular old rom or the MC. Who am I to say though. I've only been testing BEV for about 4 hrs. now.

I don't know. I can see the NFL making that a requirement to protect their product. I mean looking DTV, DISH & BEV, bev certainly has the weakest signal integrity. The NFL would lose a lot of american subscribers if they could get it easily off bev with their converted dish equipment.

I know from a person that works for the NFL front office and they did sign an exclusive contract with dave for three years. They outbid Charlie for the package and got EXCLUSIVE rights to the US programming..Dave wouldn't agree without that as Charlie was starting to grow and Dave was concerned about him...SO because of the US contract no NFL ticket on Charlie until 2006 then maybe if Charlie outbids Dave....But BEV is great news since Dave seems to be just to nasty for his use right now....

Looks like everything is about the same as dish except for aiming the dish and the script on the card. Exactly what are they talking about when they refer to Nagra2?

if you have 4 subbed irds how many cards will they send you....if you start using nagra2 can you still go to rom 2,3,10 etc or will you have to jtag back....
