Hi I was wondering if someone could clear a few thinks up for me ? Im running a 301 with a Magic card and a soft lock. When I enter it into the stream it works for 10 minutes then comes up with ( error 153 - A serious problem has been detected with your receiver ) when I un plug the receiver and re plug it in I get channels 101 and 90** somthing ? If tried erasing sector sa8 but it just repeats the above ? Im going to assume that this is because of the ecm everyone is talking about , is that correct ? So do we wait for a different softlock or ... ? Also would I not get hit if I installed a digital lock ? Sorry if these are simple questions but im very new to dishnet and this is the first ecm ive incountered. Thanks for the help

No question is too simple when we are all learning.
A digital lock installed correctly will save you from ecm fixing the ird eveytime, But still it will reboot each time the emm packet is run. I would go Dlock myself now.
Cannot beleive I said that, Been testing since DTV F card and Primestar before Dish existed.
Locks are good now with the stuff going on.
