After flashing: still 000000001 Help

I have a 501 and I flashed sectors 52 and 60 using flash 2. I did it 3-5 times each and when I hook everything back up my location is still 000000001.
I have flashed 4 different times with the same result. I also flashed 54 and 60.
Am I doing something wrong? I think I followed the directions to the letter..

Fire, I also have a 501 and have never been able to get the 54 and 60 or 52 and 60 reflash to work. I have given up on trying. I just erase all and re-flash with my save bin.

I'll try that. As you can tell I'm new to the sport so just two more questions.
Will the location code change if the flashing works or do I have to wait for the update from the sat stream?
Should the location code be different after flashing?

The location ID changes all the time. I erase sa52 and sa54 in flash 2 and it works every time. Takes about 5 minutes once back in stream. Then have to do a check switch also.

I did a full flash and it seemed to work and it is in the stream now.
But it has been stuck on acquiring sat for about 10 min on a default sat transponder 12. 5 0f 5
I have had this part happen before and after 20 or so min the preveiw channels come on.
I hope this works.
