As a newbie, I have 101 questions and would like to continue my questions through this thread so that it tracks my progress and may be useful to other newbies. In order to get started with this hobby, I would like to test the US satellites on my BEV dish and 3100 receiver. I have a 2nd BEV system using the 2700 IRD. Maybe the US systems will show more promise and I will switch to them completely. Ideally with 2 systems I could theoretically track the information on two satellite locations such as 110 and 119 deg. In this regard does anyone know the website that could tell me if I am in the pattern footprint of these satellites. I can't really seach for a signal if it is too weak.
I also think that the 3100 card has a looped configuration as the CAM software version is DNASP010 Rev A3D. According to Milli this is/could be a ROM programming problem if I can't clean it. Suggestions please? :o
