I know the following error is related to no power "0x0000000"

But I know the JTAG is working properly, done several others.

Just the one IRD gives me this error. Not sure why.

Any Ideas??

A: solder connection are perfect!

B: No, it will not power up on its own the eprom has been erased.

Here is how I solved the exact same problem:
Previously I had plugged my Jtag directly into the puter and was able to do the reading, erasing and programming. On a 420 recently I got 0x0000000 no matter what I tried. On a hunch I went out and got myself a 6' IEEE parallel extension cord, and caramba I'm in. Since I've always believed that the shorter you keep the connection the better, I'd be interested in finding out if anyone else has ever come accross this.:confused: :confused:

my jtag has it's own power supply.....

Neither my powered nor my straight Jtag worked until I got the IEE extension. I think getting the IRD further away from the PC made the difference? :confused:
