Soflock problem

I can't seem to get the hang of the softlock thing. I read my good tsop. Applied softlock patch, erased the tsop from my reciever and then wrote the softlock tsop and when I turn on the reciever, the location id is now 0000001. Guess I did something wrong but........what?

Your receiver's current firmware is incompatible with softlocks. Posting the receiver's model# would help to confirm it but I am 99% sure that is the problem.

It's a 2800 reciever with the current firmware. Can a 3900 be done?

3900 shouldn't be a problem with the lateste firmware. I'm currently running three 3900 with softlock.

Nope. Current 2700 and 2800 ird firmware does NOT support softlocks. Get out the soldering iron bud.

Thanks for the info. I tried to softlock my 3900 and I have had no luck with flash edit. Can someone explain how to soft lock a 3900 and what version is the latest flash edit.Also is there a recent flash edit that isn't posted

Can a SoftLock be applied to a 301-010 with a camless MC?
