ird with a card

if i call dish up and tell them i want to subscribe and i already have an ird (2700 or any ird with a card) will they do it or will they send me a yellow card.i want to drop dtv and sub dish but don't want a cardless ird.

Yes, they will sub that receiver if...

A) The CAM is the original that came with the rcv'r (married)

B) There is no out standing debt from the previous owner's subscription.

You can also buy a reciever brand new from Rat Shak. The sticker on the outside of the box will tell if its 301 (usable) or 310 (cardless). You can get 2 irds, dish, install for $200 and then they give you $10 off per month on sub for $20 months. Then you just have to get a magic card or a rom2, 3, 10 or 11 card for testing. Good setup for newbies, because you can keep one ird virgin and subbed to compare to your testing box.
