bad resiver massage

How come afetr restoring the eerpon and tsop the reciver works fine afetr a few hours a box pop open sayin taht the reciver is bad to call Charlie? what do i ned to do to prevent this window to pop open again?

I also replace the eepron with a virgen one, then the massage comes back after a few hours, I check the system info it went to -F after i had it with -N, it goes away when i rewrite the tsop and eepron. do I need to do this process every time or just erase the sa49 sector? and leavethe eepron alone?

The box means you got hit with an ECM.

Open your saved tsop bin in Flash edit and select "write sofltock"
Save file as personal dump
Save as virgin eeprom
Load all of this to your ird

Now when you get that "pop up", just pull your card for a little bit and put it back in. this will reset without jtagging.

Now find the reason you're getting ecm'd. This will be something on your card.
Check:
Cam id
PPV string(s)
Spending limit tier
Channel tiers (don't select a channel tier for anything in your ppv strings)
Blocker

Do i patch the sof lock first or I get the soft lock patch and attached after that tsop is load up? cause I don't see that optin write sotlock on flashedit 1.3.1

i have the same problem, i try with so many ini files, and always keep tha same message.

Right now, i´m runnnig with NO PPV,NO PORN,NO SPECIAL EVENTS, and i have the same problem

EEPROM is -N, soft version is p201,

Id LOCATION is not 0000001, is some hex number, i don´t remember right now.

There are several versions of this message, each with a different number in the upper right hand corner. If your loc id is not 01, then you may have a different problem. What is the number in your message?

The Id error that appears in the right corner of the message windows is 151

Soft lock don't work on 301-10--13 but you 151 is 000001 emc . card or atm . lot fix work on both not emc. Use TCFD-II V103-full make you own best then put what you want and remap local . JCK7

When they hit you your location ID changes to 00000001. ECM = Electronic Counter Measure.

TCGD-IIV103-Full, while I am not sure but I would say he means the Tier Creator Program.

It is the program that you use to add tiers (channels) to your card. There are many different programs and it is usually a matter of prefference.

If the loaction ID is not 000001 than you are OK in terms of not getting ECMed. Are you sure that you are seing an error message. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you have locks on that receiver. Am I right?

satstorm69: We keep syaing the same thing at the same time - it is very funny.

95% of the time with the 151 error is the lock installation. It gets very annoying - that is why I dont use locks. Why break it if it works fine with a jtag. I am considering an autoreset lock lately. :)

As I posted in response to JCK7's statement about softlock not working with 301's, I'm using softlock with my 301.013 and only have to reset once every 20 hours or so since 7/20.

Take the locks off and reconnect across any trace cuts. This should fix the problem. If it does, then you know the install was faulty. Next time you have a problem, it would be a good idea to post any major changes you made right before the problem started. This would make things go a lot quicker.

I dont think it is the eeprom lock that you have to worry about. EEPROM lock is fairly easy to install and you cant really goof it up. TSOP lock is the one that gives most problems. Check the wire length, all the soilder points........etc. At least now you are aware of what the problem is with your receiver. Now the tougher part is figuring out what part of the lock is messed up (wires too long, soilder points.....etc)

I thought the new software for the 301.010 (p226) wiped out the use of softlock.

On the 301.013 same problem with the new software. I am going to assume that you are using the old software for the 301.013 (p201) and applying the softlock that way.
