View Full Version : PC won't run Nagra

My Pc which is a P3-733, 384 megs of ram, running Windows 98 2e will not open my rom 3's in any version of Nagra. It always says backdoor is closed or cannot retrieve password. Blocker works fine as well as RTM & j-keys. If I run the same cable to my old P1-233 laptop with 64 megs Ram and Win 98 2e from same disk, loaded with the same Nagra file, same card, etc.; Nagra will pop it first time.
Any idea why this could be ? It's just a pain having to set up both everytime. :confused:

DON'T want hijack post but I have xp home AD done something after reinstalled winx work on rom 10 not rom 3 . Also on 98 put xp pro on 2-2-04 work ok read card good . Then reinstalled 7-29-04 when said cant find winx make temp file new desk top with all my folder gone . Now I had reinstalled 4 day now says invalid card . that all closes com 1 / All rest work but vol it on page up or page down . ASK WHEN CANT make heads tails what I ask thanks .

Open device manager in both PC's and compare the port settings for Com 1 or what ever you have you loader on. See if there are differences.

All com port settings are the same including resource settings and driver versions/properties.

Repeating here in case you miss P.M. :

Go to control panel, click on system, device manager. Click on the + beside ports, highlight com 1 and click on properties. You will see a box with general, port settings, driver, and resources. Select driver and in there you will see driver file details, click it and you will find what you want.
