How to unlock rom 10?

rather than start a new thread i figure this one is as good as any to ask what about r0m 10 at A81....i've read they can't be opened but i seem to remember reading somewhere that there is a back door...sorry for the interruption master mind.....

Me too. I think the subject of unlocking or unlooping needs further discussion. If this is the correct forum, I would like to ask an obvious question-if these cards are ROMs why can they be reprogrammed to look original? If there is a lock on the back door we should be about to remove the lock through some intelligent process. It would appear that we are not getting to the machine language level here as we seem to want to change the contents of an existing higher level language. I get a CAM ver of 3ED or something like that. I got it when I plugged my second IRD into the satellite stream with a married CAM card. I was not a subsciber with the second IRD yet. Now like others we should deal with correcting this so that many others can reuse ther ROM 10 cards. Comments?

I have one of those pesky A81 locked(no BD3 access)
ANy Ideas on How to unlock it? I tried everything out there so far. TIA

gentelmen, i also have a rom10 rev 21 just purchased off ebay. it was discribed as "un-tampered" but , of course i cant seem to unlock it. tried about three times with diffrent programs but no luck. any one know where i can find "viagra" havnt used that one yet. or better yet some good advice.

Thanks, I knew there was a good technical reason for its degree of difficulty and I do not want to trivialize the quest. When I see the instructions to program these cards, we know where the code is (ie line#) but we are unable to get into the program to unlock it. It is too bad we could not download the program to a PC and run a de-encryption program on it. With the speed of our PCs these days, it may not take too long. Just a suggestion as I am ignorant of the actual process and can only take a broader look at the problem. Talk at ya later!

right somthing like a "brute force" via your pc....sounds good to me..ive got the serial port cable. guess im ready to go. lol
