Hi Zappa,It usally takes me about 20 minnutes to get channels on mine.if it is takeing much longer than that you might want to check the location Id to make sure it isn't at 000001,also check that the boxkeys are right, ird# are right.Sometimes if you have an out dated script then it will just search for sattilte.
I think that if you have the Dish welcome channel then you probally are at 000001 location Id on your receiver and you need to fix your tstop.hope some of this helps

Press system info on your remote ,or with card out reciever should go from insert card to info screen after a couple of minutes look toward bottom and you will see reciever location id:_______- if it reads 000000001 then it has been hit and you need to fix the tstop, you will need a jtag

2800's are slow to come up. Allow at least 20 to 30 minuits to exit from searching. If you still have a problem check ird # and box keys. I do a check switch first..

If you can't get the 2800 out of searching (with good signal) , its your ird# or keys. B's and 8's are misread (very common). When you get out of the search and get a few channels power off receiver to update (about 10 min. ) Not subcribed errors will go away when your keys roll. Your earlier post indicates your receiver has not been ecmed.
Hope this helps

If your using a current public or privite blocker your rom3 rev should be stealthed @ 383.

The location ID will change periodically. Unless it's 0000001, don't sweat it.

Run the check switch sequence as posted...it's important. Menu, 6,1,1, switch, test. Allow the receiver to go through its 38-stage testing sequence (takes 2-3 minutes), cancel out of everything, let it finish the sat signal acquistion process if necessary, then try your channels.

If you still have nothing but previews, I suspect the channel tiers aren't on the card, or possibly an error in copying the box keys. In that case, it's time to review your programming procedure....

Do me a small favor, Zappa. Put the TITLE to your message in the title bar (or just leave it blank) and the MESSAGE in the message window. Your blending them is bugging the shit out of me. ;)
