Question - Help needed

I'm planning on testing BEV. My plan is to buy a Bell ExpressVu 3120 System, which includes a 3100 reciever, and I checked it said .010 at the back. I think I will sub, and then use MC to test.

Would I be safe using a MC in married sub mode, without any digital lock, (or buying a jtag) ?
It's likely that the reciever would come with a yellow (10x) card, what should I do then? I think I can only use MC in blocker mode then, but could I use a blue card before activating so that would get subbed or something?

Any Ideas on what I can do? :) (I'm planning on just buying the dish from Future Shop, so I have to sign up to a contract)

You can buy a 3100 ( slave= just the receiver ) without getting a contract, there are plenty of use or new dishes for sale in your local paper or from ebay. If u want to test the magic card in married sub you will need to marry the smart card to the receiver which will need bev to activate the card to that receiver. or you can bypass that step and go straight to rom3/10/11 mode with the magic card.
