i was thinking if is possible to add $$$$$ credit to the card instead to put tiers, because the PPV are changing every week, so can i just add credit and when i want to watch the PPV can i just buy the movie with the credit, and then when the credit done i just reprogram the card.
Thank You.

LoL......
1) You buy one PPV ---> the box calls Charlie immediately.....
2) You think Charlie will design an access card with $$$$$ credit, so people can take off /cancel/etc....?

If you buy (or make) a dial tone generator, this will work. Your ird doesn't actually call until you reach a credit limit. It does, however, check for a dial tone anytime you order to make sure you are hooked up to a phone line. There are some eeproms that claim to be edited to not dial out or check for dial tone, but I haven't gotten one to work yet, so I can't vouch for it. Hook up the fake dial tone, set a limit and watch away. When the screen pops up that says you have reached your limit and are no longer authorized to blah blah blah... just clean your card and load the same bin on again. Tier Gen and Yet Another Tier Maker both have spending Limit tiers and I believe Tier Gen has the ability to create a "phone home count" tier. Hope this helps.

Does anyone here have a legit subbed 301, 501 or 3800 that also has no land phone line? If so, I would like to compare your EEPROM with mine.
I would also like to know how you order PPV without a dial tone. I doubt Charlie makes you call every time. It would make more sense to set a flag in the TSOP or EEPROM.
I've read in another thread on hashhu that someone did actually get the no dial EEPROM to work on their 301 receiver.

Sorry, I don't have my subbed 301 jtagged. I was told when I signed up, that if I didn't have it hooked up to a phone line, I would have to order over the internet. As I stated earlier, your ird doesn't actually call until you reach a credit limit. It does, however, check for a dial tone anytime you order to make sure you are hooked up to a phone line. If not, it tells you no phone line is present.
