Roger, you'd best be careful....and so should anyone who decides to get their odometer "corrected". Busting miles for hire is a major-league federal offense....with considerably more risk than hacking satellite cards, especially since hard parts are required to be shipped, modified, and returned, addresses exchanged, etc.
You put your email address in your post (until it was edited out)...your general location is in your post as well, and if your username is any indication, that narrows your location even further. I can smell a sting in the making here...big time.
Not that your offer isn't appreciated...just be VERY careful. Personally, from what I've seen, I'm not sure you have the know-how to safely pull off such an endeavor without being busted. Please don't take offense...it's your ass I'm concerned about - and the asses of anyone who does business with you. If you try to jet set with a Piper Cub, you're gonna crash, and maybe take a few other folks down in the process.

I appreicate the concern. I require the following to be signed for any work done, plus I obviously refuse to do anything that is not legal or ethical, just as I would with regard to Charlie or Dave. I only posted thinking that I might help a few in need, whom have helped me. Hope that I can do that, but I will be cautious. Thanks for the advice, one can never be too cautios.

All work orders and signed legal agreements received by _______________ will be kept on file and may be surrendered to the proper authorities if required.

it sounds cool but think twice about doing it! I work for chrysler for 15 yrs now, if you send him your cluster board the other computers will catch the real mileage ( the pcm, tcm, bcm wil get the real mileage) I caught a lady doing that last year -she came in and try to get a new evap for her a/c system ( cost w/labor 900.00) if she was cool about it ,I would of let it fly. but she was a rich bitch and she didn't think her shit stink. so I put the drb3 on and read mileage off the pcm and it was 20,0000 over then what she had.I told my manager and he ask the lady about it and she shut up and had the work done !! also think about the if you had emission testing done with your car-they have the real mileage when you take the test and if you go to the dealer for service ,they have the right mileage then too, also when you run a carfax on car and that's were they get the mileage from. its cool don't get me wrong but now a days means-real jail time for that and big fines too.the new cars will suck in the next 2 yrs-they will obd3 systems and have BLACK BOXES on them-like the viper does now, they can tell if you had the brake on before you hit that tree at 150 mph. thinks about it before doing it- keep smiling!!!!!!!!!!

Hes right about the Dodges having the mileage stored in multple locations...its possible to change it in all those places but it takes the latest equipment and he would need your vehicle not just the cluster to do it right. Car fax only recieves the last known recorded mileage. If it hasnt been recorded the nobody would know. BTW just another good reason to stay away from a damn Dodge...Chevy, Ford ,Toyota, Nissan, Just about anything else except BMW are easy money. Unless you have the right equipment doing a Dodge isnt worth it. You guys stay out of trouble...know who your dealing with. And if your going to be a bear...be a Grizzly

Yep, yep, gotta be real careful. Most have nvram as well, and keep track of how many times something has been programmed, highest rpm, how long at particular rpms, temps, spark knock, etc...those people that buy programmers and think they can just reprogram back to stock for warranty issues aren't getting by anybody good ;) Unless of course, you reprogram the nvram too :D

The independant mechanics, police agencies and the insurance companies are already suing the auto manufacturers to obtain information ALREADY in the cars computers.
The mechanics and computer test companies are suing to get the OTHER COMPLETE information that will only show up on dealer computer read outs, not on other brands. Like only a "Ford New Rontundra" tester will show ALL the information on Fords and you can't buy one at Auto Zone.
The insurance companies and several police agencies are suing manufacturers for access to the information THAT IS ALREADY AVAILABLE on the computers pertaining to accidents, (How fast it was going etc.)
I am thinking about designing a device that will totally erase the compter in case of accident or if you push a button. It should come under the fifth amendment about incriminating yourself.
