Jtagging DP301-010

I have a DP301.010 ird and am wanting to use a cat5 cable to read jtag from underneath. Have pads etc but am uncertain as to what I need to ground? I have a 301.013 and when reading or writing I need to attach my ground from R79 to case, then start jkeys.
In reading on the 301.010 I cannot find any clarification on what I need to ground to put TSOP to sleep.I have read that I need to ground my jtag cable? If I use cat5 (like in my 301.013) what am I to ground?

Grounding R79 will put a 010 to sleep, but it is not needed......a -010 is very user friendly.

Thanks Skinerd, as mentioned my first ird was a 301.013 and after doing a vid mod, destroying the R79 point etc etc the 010 sounds too good to be true. So, if I connect a cat5 cable to the (I think) 2,3,4,5,6 points I don't need to connect to a ground?

You mentioned the jtag points, well the jtag needs a ground too.......I assumed that's what you were referring to, the jtag, groung pins 18-25 of the d-sub to a good ground point.

The pads under the pads you need to hook cat 5 cable too are grounds, I will post a picture of my 301.010 to show you what I did As you can see I had to cut the jtag slot out, the red wire is my ground. I didn't have any black wire handy so I used what I had. It is just grounded to the pads underneath the jtag pads. Works great for me,

Hey whats happening brother, I've been up for over a week, I added a sports ppv string onto Mili's private blocker tier list, I broke down and bought a good blocker. What can I say? lol Anyway. I've got everything except that MLS shit that is on, I would have that but it wouldn't give me a ppv event id on that station.

thats sounds good was it exspensive for that blocker im thinking about doing that i get hit maybe every 18 hours so its not that bad YET! but my soft locks are working fine im waiting for my ar105b 's to come in i should have them tomorow im glad your running with no problem

I've been up and running without that private blocker for some time, only had movie and porn ppv. you need to narrow your strings a little. I added that sports ppv patch yesterday and now today I see the bastards lowered it and now I am getting purchase nag for springer uncut, back to the drawing board!

yeah i know what you mean its some what of a headace but hey its free i have all the ppv's from 492 to 539 if i want something else i just add it on the card like that BS tyson fight!! it stays up for at least 18 hours so im not upset because i dont really watch tv that much for the most part im just glad i understand how to hack this system so i dont have to pay those out raegous bill they hit you with i may one day watch 1 move on ppv and then i wont watch it for 2 days so i cant complain

will do. it saves you from getting up and from doing the check switch when you get hit it still has to take about a minute to reset if you ask me . but i have heard people say they love it its the best thing since slice bread so i will let you know hey brother nice talking to you i got run but when they come in and i install them i will let you know how it works take care .

Alright, take it easy, keep in touch with those locks. I think private blocker is worth the dough from what I've seen so far. Just to let you know

Thanks for the pics! I used a cat 5 cable so I can attach thru RJ45 coupler which attaches to laptop so can bring laptop to ird. I just added a little wire to my cat5 ground and screwed onto one of the case screws underneath - very tidy!

NO problem, I am planning on cutting out the back of the case and mounting my 25 pin connector to that so it is simply plug and play, I use a 6 ft straight through cable with it and it works great. My qaud mode jtag wouldn't hook up to it w/o me holding it in place so that was my solution. I can't hold something that steady for that amount of time to back up two flashes!! lol
