I just got the BEV 2 tv deal and I got a 3100.010 reciever and a 2700A. Im confused about the 2700, the label says 2700A, but in sys info, it says 2700C/3700C. Im planning on using this IRD to test, so I want to know something. Is this a BEV 2700, but the same thing as a Charlie 3700?
I only ask because I know Charlie 2700 IRD has limited memory and I may not be able to open all channels. But also BEV has alot less channels than Charlie so will it even matter? (if I might not be able to get everything should I just use the 3100 to test?) Thanks

2700 2800 3700, all the same, don't worry about it.

so will I still have the problem with limited memory? Or will it not effect me since BEV only offers about half as many channels as charlie?

If you program to get too many channels, PPV's, etc. you will be a target for ECM's. What method of "testing" are you going to try?

Well im going to use the MC. Seems to be the easiest and cheapest method to start with. I read that thread (thanks for the link) and I think I got what I needed to know. Now just to figure out what the tier numbers are. I know how to set tears for the MC, but I dont know where to find which # corresponds with which channel. More reading in my future I guess. :)

Open up all channels shouldn't be a problem on a 2700.
