View Full Version : Box keys and IRD numbers
I have a DP 310 reciever that had a lock put on it by a dealer. My old Rom 10 card was stream locked at rev23. I can't get into it now. My reciever has no j-tag port. The dealer is now out of business. However, the dealer wrote 2 sets of numbers on the bottom of the reciever which I believe to be the IRD#'s and box key #'s. I have a new ROM 10 card being delivered from Milli. When I go to edit my IRD numbers and box keys numbers on the new card how do I know which numbers are the box keys and which numbers are the IRD numbers? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Boxkeys are 16 digits,
reciever number in hex is 8 digits, and always starts with a 0, usually 02, or 03.

Thanks skinerd! The one set of numbers is 16 digits beginning with "A1..............." so I assume those are the box keys. However, the other set of numbers is 8 digits as you say but does not start with "0 " or "02" but rather with "1ABB...." Could it be that the "1ABB...." numbers are the "converted" numbers in hex?. Do you think I will be okay to use these sets of numbers when I edit my IRD and Box key numbers on the new card? Many thanks again for your quick replies. By the way, great site one of the best I have been to.

I doubt the receiver number starts with 1ABB, cause the smallest nyumber starting with 1ABB would be 1A BB 00 00 which would mean a receiver number of R 04 4846 2848-xx,all receivers I have seen begin with R 00.
PM me the numbers...........
One of the best sites?????????................this is the best..................name a better one......name an equal.

IRD # should not be that hard to find. Go to system info screen.

Thanks for your response. Why do you think a dealer would have wrote an 8 didgit set of numbers and letters beginning with 1abb.... and a 16 didgit set of numbers and letters beging with A1................ on the bottom of the reciever. I have my IRD 's just need to fiqure out the box keys. No J tag port on the receiver. I was hoping the 16 didgits were the box keys. Now what.
Thanks,
REVW

It's kind of weird that dealer would put the camid on the IRD. Just don't worry about the 8 digit number and stick with the 16 digit number assume its the Boxkeys.
Revw it seems like you havn't done anything. Have you gotten the IRD# yet or u still confused.

load the receiver number and boxkeys that are on the bottom to a card, see if the receiver likes it......
