Need Help Full Erase 2700

I need help in reflashing my original TSOP to my 2700, I think(?). Is there a newbie guide somewhere? I'm afraid to fry my one and only ird. The reason I want to reflash is my ird is not taking the BEV update after I erased the SA5 (10 times!). It would take the DISH update though. Am I in the right direction? I was successful the first time I updated to BEV (from dish), but after a day, I got the 153 nag so I erased the SA5 again but it will not update (overnight even). I tried the exercise several times with no success.

This is why I am thinking that I should start with the saved DISH TSOP, erase SA5 and resteam to BEV. By the way, I'm getting 75 on my signal meter (SAT 91) on transponder 5, and 102 on other transponders. Using dish 500 twin legacy, no external switches.

For the pro's (and almost pro's), please give me some guidance. I'm willing and (hopefully) able to learn.

i never erase the sa5 more than once but i know it is recomended to do it 3 times. you should put the original flash back on and the try it again. erase sa5 and make sure you have a good signal strength and it should work.
