Opinions on the 721 PVr Hacking status

I am wanting a pvr but for the price of a 501 thats on ebay I can get a 721 for about $100 to 150 more so for that much I would rather have the 721 ,gut how long until a jtag is made or the recevier is at least jtagg able , I know oddcircuits are working on a Lock for it so that part is covered, Does anyone think it will be able to be jtagged in the next 3 months or so , Also why to do you have to pay for pvr services on the 510 and above PVR's but not the 501 , and 508 and is there anyway to use the 510 pvr without paying fees, and what is the difference in the 508 and 510 thanx

cause dish can get away with the added fees, where the 501 and 508 are like grandfathered in with no fee
the 510 basically the same as 501 and 508 just 100 hours record time compared to 501 at 35 hours and 508 at 60 hours.
510 only came with the yellow roms and have the GT chips
