Dish 500 selection on 2800

When I was attemtping find the 110 & 119 satellites I was receiving an option for multi-dish set up and had the selection Dish 500 on the menu. Found both birds and then realized my switch was bad. My receiver also needed to get updated, after updating successfully I switched between birds manually while I awaited for my SW21 switch to arrive. Got my switch and upon hooking it back up the selection for multi-dish is gone. Where did it go? I go to set-up then install dish and the option is gone, is the 2800 receiver compatible with the 500 dish? Did receiving the update not allow my receiver to work with the Dish 500 now?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Just run a switch check, the multidish option should return.

I am having the same problem. I have a 310-013 that is working with my DishPro500 dish and LNB's but my 2800 is only pulling in Sat 119. I have tried doing the Check Switch and no luck. The options I get under Check Switch are "Super Dish 3 Sat" "Super Dish 4 Sat" "Super Dish Full" and I have tested each one but nothing changes. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I get both birds through my 2800 and my DishPro 500 Dish.

Your 2800 (Legacy) Receiver Is Not Compatable With DishPro LNBs. You Will Either Need To Get A DishPro Adapter (Search The Internet/eBay) For Your 2800 Or Get A Legacy LNB. DishPro Receivers Are Legacy LNB Compatable.

I have the same setup. I watch TV with my 301-013. If i get a 2800 that I have to stream then I can use that. I only get half the channels or so. It tells you on the screen that you are only getting (in my case) sat 119. If you are going to use this for anyhting butstreaming or you want to watch tv with it then you will have to upgrade reciever to a DP compatable (301 or newer) or put a leacacy Lnb on your dish. The only difference I see with the dp is tht you do not have to use the sw-21' switches. It eliminates hardware. If you want to do this hit me up I have smoe parts. I will list them in the forsale section. You do have another option. You could put up another dish if you have room and or if you want to add additional recievers.
