721 stream?

Hello I just got a new 721 still in the box and got the boxkeys thru the remote?I am going to put in the stream to update but I only have one coax cord for it should I put it on sat 119 or do I need two for it to update properly?Also do I need the card in the IRD for it to update if so can I use a MC card so my rom 10 a21 does not get locked.Thanks :) :)

I think you need to have two inputs connected to the 721 for it to function (including taking the 1.72 update). As far as I know, the 721 has never worked with a Magic Card, so you may need to use one of your ROMs (just be careful that they don't get updated and locked in the process, too).

Once you get this puppy going, you're gonna love it! Good luck!

Better watch out for unwanted updates. I was using the IRD to find the sats and it started to update during the search without notice. Locked IRD up, Now it will not detect stream. Says no signal.

did you record the 3fff90 flash screen you do not now if the bk are right untill you let it update and the 3fff90 flash is not the same after the update take a vcr and record it for 5 10 min --it better to be save then sorry the sceen is hard to read been there done that

Great thanks everyone.Everthing went smooth.I had to hook up both satilite's to the IRD to take the updates.I had to run another cord thru the window to the ird to do this.This ird is awesome!Record two channels and watch one at the same time bad ass!Now I wish I had one.This one is for a freind I will look around for a good buy. Thanks again :) :)

The 1.72 update came down Monday night and many people had similar problems. You need to try a soft boot first by pressing the power button for a few seconds. Once your receiver reboots, it should work. Firmware revision updates normally should not knock out your receiver.
