This is a cp of a post that Fubr made over at cc. As a mod from dj i can confirm this it true. It is a sad day.

perfect timing, the server took a dump, no back ups to install, would be a month to be back up, so with all that said

To all my fellow members and staff and hobbist, it is sad for me to report that dishjunkie has closed it doors.
The climate and recent events like the fred ratt tapes and no sponsorships ect. has made it impossible for the admins to keep the site open.
cost to much to pay a server bill and then it takes a crap and wipes out two sites.

We had a helluva run, I am not sure the exact date but it goes back to the main forum of devils inferno a private site before it went public.

Zombie, DB and crow done a great job there and the little pixie mia also.

I could not even get ahold of the admin, he has cut all ties to the community before it is to late. Although he never did anything ilegal at that site he did not want to risk being tied in with any of the crap going on. To do all the work of rebuilding it jst to have to ask for sponsors and members to repost and reregister is to much of a task.

sad to say the game is damn near over and I find myself following his lead and think it is time I hang my hat also.

some of you may have never heard of that site, and thats because the staff and the members there had a thing about...NO DRAMA or BS, and kept a clean respectiful no bashing site. any and all trouble makers were dealt with in a timly fashion and quickly. I never seen a group of guys talk about things in a mod forum like they did and ALWAYS worked it out, and they dint hold any punches either, there were some heated times in there but it alwasy worked out.

thought I would post here so any members there wondering would know cause I kow the rumours are running rampant. with another site getting a corupt database on the same day it did lead to people thinking but it was in no way connected to any other site or any other reason other than the I almost dint even want to post but decided if the admin could or would not then I would do it for him to let the members know why.

To all Zombies members here he did a hellva job and he is thankful for all the help you guys did, the site itself had its own character and he and all of us know it was you that made it that way.

better to be down and out than getting knocks on doors or served with papaers for owning a site that contributes to sat piracy.
wether they had a case or not hell if I know or what is legal or not but I do know it is not worth the risk to keep a site open that can nnot even pay the server bill just to host rapidshare files and pictures of the day ect.

so we are stuck with bob (cough cough) or we can go to card-coders lol or even that deadrock place and those idoiots.
bay now theres a bunck there lool, I was in the mod section for over 6 months and they dint even know it LOL, they postd all there msn names in there it was a requirment to be a mod haha

anyway.. times a changin, it dont feel right not logginb in to DJ everyday or to here to see what all I missed but I will adjust, time for a new hobby......hacking wii's :)

use a proxy and use a mac addy changer or any type of security you can.

I don't know Bob but Mili stated that said Bob has very limited access which protects purchasers here.

First of all Fubr has been around here for a long time and I Respect the guy but reading between the lines, something has happened.

Have no idea but do remember the shit hitting the fan a few years ago with Charlie subs, Mili had someone running the site and the Sysop (whoa, how's that for an old term.....yeah I was one) default password was never changed.

Some little prick (from a competing site) used it to dump all the info about the Charlie subs and then FWD it to the man himself. The inside guy got fired and sang like a canary and the rest is history.

This Shit won't happen again but I don't know who Bob is and frankly don't want to. Mili stated that you don't have access to personal info about the Members here and I believe him.

So, the the short and long of it, and Fubr did the right thing by his warning but Mili was a mile ahead of him.

right, here is what mili said:

The last time I offered DTV subs nobody got compromised. Demand simply died off and we stopped offering them. Canadians can also apply. They don't care where you are. These are proper subs as far as I know.
It was Dishnet subs we ran into problems with and only a few people who used receivers that were on their accounts previously or they used email addresses that were registered with dishnet who got harassed. They all thought they had a proper subscription with Dishnet and they did have a proper sub from dishnet so I don't think those cases went anywhere.
I made the mistake of letting the guy activating dish subs have direct access to end users and when he was busted he gave dish all that data.

There never was any problem with DTV.
In general learning from past mistakes here are the steps me and YOU will have to take to eliminate any problems.

Me:
1, I will not let any third party get direct access to DTV subbers. All the people who do the activation will get is CAM ID, IRD# and RID. They are running a walk in business where they are located. How they go about things is a total mystery and I am not interested in the technicalities.

2, I will keep nothing online.

YOU:

1, You must use a DTV IRD/card that was never activated on your or friend's or anyone else you know account. I will try to get a lead on new IRDs and offer them.
2, I will set up a chat software where you can chat logging in with simply your account# and talk directly with the person if you run into problems who does the activaton. When chatting with her you will only divulge your customer number and the problems you maybe having, your IRD# and CAM ID and RID nothing like email address or names even if she asks which she will not.

Hey BTW this guy never EVER donated and he also got banned with over 100 ID's...Tried to scam casino at the site for months aswell as re-registering over an over again sometimes 8 times a day. Only thing is he got caught out an was watched once over 100 ID's was banned and delted. Still had to come back tho didnt ya Jasoniseme and try to keep causing shit with BS threads to stir things up or often liked to post in the wrong section cos he was a total dumbarse..Hmm lets see what else ya did..Oh yeah you constantly posted the same question over an over about when will there be a hack released...Oh yeah the best one was when he reregistered in 1 day with 40 members all with similar IDs within afew minutes of each other then put out that he had a proxy as he was so smart but the dumbarse posted the same shit and the same names so he was watched from the get go....I could go on but i think people will see you for what a little prick you really are..and how you think your a smartarse but really you are just a little boy who got caught scamming a site and had your arse spanked for it :)

Sorry for my rant it just upset me to finally see this creep publiclly now ( he must of grown some balls or something?) say all this shit when alot of us are genuinly upset that our homesite went down due to misfortunate circumstances. And i apologize to Mili an the rest of the guys here for my language but i have put up with this guys chit for well over 6months now and kept quiet , its about time people an members knew what this guy does for his kicks.
