I was a dtv tester until HU's went down. I switched to BEV, I have 2 receivers that I bought from 2 different people. They came already programmed and wide open. I have done alot of reading and printed off some of the guides. What I have is 2 - 2700 receivers, one has a rom 10 rev a3b, the other is a rom 3 rev 369 with an avr-6 auto-roll. For the receiver with the rom 10 card, I have the boxkey number and a reprogram password and I know that it has the TSOP lock installed. The rom 3 I have no numbers or passwords for this receiver and does not have TSOP locks. I bought an iso programmer and a jtag. Since yesterday I get the guide but all channels on both receivers are black. So I guess I need to put the patch on.
Now currently I have my hu loader on comport 1. First question what do I need to do to hook up the iso programmer to my computer? Can I just plug it into the same port as my hu loader?
Thanks for your help!!!

Now I think I have locked or looped the rom 3 card. I pulled the avr roll out of the receiver to see what it was and then I put it back in and I have the message:
"This smartcard is not valid with this receiver" Can I fix this myself or do I have to take it to someone?

I did a master reset and it was ok. Can I just hook up my iso programmer to where my hu loader was and all will be fine?

i switched my cables right over as they were both serial cables so shouldn't be a problem

I can not get my iso programmer to work. It is a solid black box with 1 green light and the card slot. On the bottom is
SDLOGIC TECHNOLOGIES INC.
SDR-30RS PC/SC-U
S/N: SDR012518
There is only 1 wire coming out of the box and it is permanently inside box. At the other end of the cable is a serial port and then from that is another cable with what I think are 2 PS2 cables, looks like 1 end is female and the other is male. The are round with pins, same end as for the keyboard and mouse.
So I have the serial port in comport 1. Now what do I do with the other 2 round ends? I have no spots on the back or front of my computer and nothing on my printer to hook up to. The green light is not on.
I check the port settings as directed in the newbie guide. I opened Nagraedit 4.0, inserted my rom 10 card with contact side up, and click on card, reset atr. and I get the following message:
Opening of COM1 was successful
Reset failed
Error reseting card, ATR string invalid
Closing of COM1 was successful
The green light did not come on the programmer.
Do I have the wrong programmer?
Thanks for your help!!

what you do is either unplug the mouse or keyboard and plug one end in to the plug you removed and the item you removed into the other end this id how the programmer gets its power also there should be a place to plug an extrenal power supply incase you wish not yo use the ps2 supply

Horray! I got my rom 10 card working with the blackout fix. Now I have a rom 3 card with a avr. The card came already programmed so I do not have boxkeys for it yet. I do have the jtag connection but I do not know how to work that either yet. Do I really need the boxkey numbers to apply the blackout fix? When I programmed my rom 10 card and click on data editor the boxkey numbers were already in there.
Where do I get the latest blocker files? I clicked on the public downloads but can't download anything.
Also is it neccessary to always unplug the sat cable from the ird before removing card?
Now for my rom 3 card and avr do I take the card out of the avr, then program it, then put back in avr, then insert in ird? or do I program avr and card together in my iso?
Thank you for all the help!! I am getting there!
